FlyerTech is delighted to announce our collaboration with Ascend Airways as they commence commercial operations as the UK’s newest airline.

With the recent issuance of their Air Operator Certificate (AOC), we’re excited to contribute to their success by assisting in the delivery of their B737-800 and B737-MAX aircraft.

Led by our expert team at FlyerTech, including Airworthiness Projects Manager David Phillips, Deputy Airworthiness Projects Manager and ARC Signatory Richard Fauvel Howard, Projects Engineer Matthew Barrington-Smith, we conducted a comprehensive review of Ascend’s historic aircraft records and supported CAMO onboarding for Ascend’s B737-800 and B737-MAX process seamlessly.

Moreover, we provided onsite support for a comprehensive structural survey at the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility. This survey aimed to ensure confidence in the structural integrity of the aircraft, guaranteeing full visibility and accuracy for CAMO and records for smooth aircraft operations.

Conducting the records review served a dual purpose: securing registration under the UK CAA and safeguarding Ascend’s interests. This entailed completing a comprehensive review of historic maintenance records, aimed at identifying and resolving any issues, while also ensuring strict adherence to the highest safety and compliance standards.

Paul Woodman, Technical Director at Ascend, praised the transition process, emphasizing it’s excellence and the value of our detailed overview and productive meetings. We extend our gratitude to Paul Woodman for his collaboration during this period, and would also like to say a special thanks to Paul Webster and Wesley Edozie.

Looking ahead, we’re committed to continuing our partnership with Ascend Airways as we support them with their CAMO operations.

Congratulations to Ascend Airways on reaching this significant milestone! We’re eagerly anticipating the journey ahead and the excitement of their inaugural flight.
